Is worth its stars !! Daily meal at a super low price !! Very fast and very nice service (little young woman in a dirndel) Impressively great atmosphere! We were very excited! Our lunch was very Swabian! Lentils with spaetzle and sides !!! MEGA DELICIOUS !! ?????????

One of the best restaurants I have been to. CORONA rules all implemented. Friendly service, boot menu something for every taste. Stylistically designed very well and informatively.

The lunch menu defies any culinary honor. A pile of unsalted spaetzle, with a tasteless sauce and unrefrigerated drinks. Both corresponded wonderfully with a sloppy waitress. Better move on.

Almost 5 stars! Actually we would have liked to give 4.7 stars here, because the rooms are pleasantly large and well equipped. The kitchen is highly recommended and the entire staff goes to work with an excellent professional attitude. The only small point of criticism are slight signs of wear and tear and small defects in the rooms, but that is admittedly complaining at a high level!

We were a little disappointed with the food. My big salad was loveless with huge leaves and not with cheese as promised, but boiled ham. That in turn was not of good quality. My chanterelle cream soup wasn't that good either. My companions had tripe (very good), sausage salad (good) and 2 x sweet potato frying pan (not so good). The waitress was very nice and friendly. The rooms were very different. Our bathroom was tiny while that of the girlfriends was big and beautiful. The room rate was the same though ....

The location in the pedestrian zone is fantastic and the beer is very tasty. The food and the service also deserve the highest praise. The decor of the room was a bit older, but clean. Therefore full marks ?

Self-made full-grown beer! Many dishes also have this great beer sauce. Quaint interior. A little too long waiting times between dishes.

Unfortunately we could not have dinner in the associated restaurant because it was closed, so we can not say or write anything about it. Breakfast was the worst on our one-week Jagst-Kocher bike tour. The cheese tasted of rubber. Three stars only because the room u. the location was good.

It is really authentic typical German hotel Staff are really nice and helpful also professional It is in the middle of the city Ellwagen It is near from all main places of the city The restaurant is nice and rooms are big and quiet as well I highly recommended this hotel for all purposes business or pleasure I have only one comment that internet password has to be entered every time you log in so I request hotel management to solve this and 5 stars is their rate If you find my comments useful please like my comment

VERY LARGE ROOMS. Breaksfast was continental and English. Canal tv only in german. Close to train station. Service is very good and friendly. They speak english. The dinner is good. Beer is excelent.

The Restaurant is a very nice location in the center of the city, the rooms look very harmonic and romantic, I love coming thete because of the masterpiece of a beer.

I had lunch in the restaurant. The food was top-grade in terms of quality of ingredients, preparation, flavor, and presentation. The beer from the family-owned, historic brewery was great. Both were a good value. What sets the Brauereigasthof Hotel Roter Ochsen truly apart in my experience is the competence and character of the waitstaff. The lady who served me was absolutely competent, courteous, kind, and seemed to enjoy her job to assure guests have a good experience. She was attentive but not showing too much presence. This restaurant is an institution. It goes back centuries, and the owners and staff clearly don't rest on their laurels. I highly recommend eating there, if you like high-quality traditional cuisine in a wholesome environment.
